The main mission of Dronepilotusa.com is to provide a local resource for those interested in learning how to get into "first person view (FPV) drone building and piloting on the western slope of Colorado. Dronepilotusa.com is based in Grand Junction, which is an amazing part of the Colorado landscape. With close access to some of the most beautiful terrain in the U.S., the Grand Valley is a great place to FPV.  I started FPV quadcopters/drones as an alternative to fixed wing model aircraft. I saw these guys on Youtube doing awesome tricks with drones and crashing a lot. Most often, these pilots were replacing a set of propellers and they were back in the air flying within a few minutes. This was not my experience after a crash with fixed wing aircraft. I spent more time repairing than I did flying. Flying is what I got into RC aircraft in the first place for. I decided that fpv quadcopters may be more for me. These aircraft are very different from fixed wing in such a huge way. It was a bit of a journey to learn how to make these things fly like a bird or a superhero. Now I can definitely make them do that and would like to show other people how to as well. There is a contact form at the bottom of the page that anyone can fill out if you have any questions about how you or someone you know can get started in this hobby with my help. I am looking forward to hearing from you all!

We took a trip out to "Skinny Ridge" in Grand Junction Colorado on a random Friday afternoon in the hopes that we may get lucky. When we first arrived, there were no signs of life so we took a few flights to get some footage of the area. After a bit though, one by one, Dirtbikers started to arrive and take the hill. The remainder of the afternoon was spent chasing these riders up and down the hill trying to get shots that people may enjoy in a short Youtube video. Click the button to check out what we came up with!

Please fill out the form below and we will get back to you on how to start your FPV journey as soon as possible! Thanks for letting dronpilotusa.com come along for the ride!
